What is U.S. Catholic magazine?

Who publishes U.S. Catholic ?

U.S. Catholic is published by the Claretian Missionaries. Following in the footsteps of St. Anthony Claret—a prolific writer and publisher whom Pope Pius XI called the “Modern Apostle of the Good Press”—the Claretians in the United States began their publishing ministry in 1935 with the first edition of the magazine The Voice of St. Jude. In 1963, during the Second Vatican Council, the magazine transformed into U.S. Catholic.

Can I reprint an article from U.S. Catholic ?

U.S. Catholic magazine grants one-time only permission to parishes, schools, and other not-for-profit entities to reprint any article if fewer than 75 copies are planned and all copies are freely distributed. These reprints may be used by parishes, schools, and other not-for-profit institutions for educational purposes only. No resale of any material is permitted.

What is the comment policy for the website?

All comments on USCatholic.org should be:

Personal attacks on writers, public figures, the subject of a story, groups of people, and fellow commenters will not be tolerated. This includes doubting another person’s faith or suggesting that they are not truly Catholic.

The editors will be the sole judges of whether a particular comment violates these rules. Should the editors determine that a comment violates these rules, the comment will be deleted. Users who repeatedly disregard the policy will be banned.

In order to keep spam from cluttering the conversation, we do not allow comments with links. Any comments with links will need to be approved before posting.
