We are now six days away from the first day of Spring. So here’s hoping that soon we won’t be tromping through ice and snow but will instead be brushing pollen off of our cars and complaining about allergy season.

What better place to start than Mississippi? The state Senate passed a bill on Wednesday that will require people who are applying for temporary financial assistance from the state to submit to drug tests, if the state deems that they are likely to be substance abusers. This is a law that is similar to bills that are popping up all over the United States, such as the one struck down by a federal judge in Florida.
In one of those heart-warming moments of caritas, Austin Ruse, the president of Catholic Family and Human Rights Watch told America Family Radio on Wednesday that liberal leaders of “modern universities” should “all be taken out and shot.”
As Russia proceeds to take over Crimea in Ukraine and negotiations are slowly and painfully developing, some of the non-supporters of President Obama seem to have found themselves siding with – and making a hero out of – Vladmir Putin.
