Alyssa Maldonado-Estrada is assistant professor of religion at Kalamazoo College where she holds the Marlene Crandell Francis Chair in the Humanities. She is the author of Lifeblood of the Parish: Men and Catholic Devotion in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (NYU Press).
