Midnight Curtains
Won’t You part these dense clouds
That I might glimpse the stars
Those dancing lights
Captivated in their celestial rites?
For above this midnight shroud,
Stories of scintillation
Resurrect and abound
As the humble
Becomes the crowned.
And the clouds
Open and part for the dove
The curtain of the cosmos
Opens from above.
