U.S. Catholic was honored with five awards from the Associated Church Press this year.
The 2020 ACP Best of the Church Press Awards, livestreamed on the Associated Church Press Facebook page on April 8, recognized the work of church communicators throughout the prior year with 100 categories on everything from print and digital articles to marketing and email campaigns to social media presence.
“I am incredibly proud of the entire staff for their hard work during this past year,” said Emily Sanna, managing editor for the magazine. “In the midst of a pandemic, we designed and implemented a new website, revamped our social media strategy, and continued to produce award-winning editorial content while growing our online audience.”
U.S. Catholic has consistently been judged as one of the best religious magazines in North America by ACP, and now also has been recognized as having some of the best religious publication social media accounts, too.
The 2020 ACP Best of the Church Press Awards received by U.S. Catholic include:
- Award of Excellence: Social Media Presence

- Award of Merit: Website Redesign for uscatholic.org

Editor-in-chief Ferdinand Okorie, C.M.F. encouraged the U.S. Catholic team to keep up the good work and “continue to touch hearts with this ministry.”
